Tracking 40+ ETFs in Real-Time — What Our Crawlers Do

ETF Radar currently tracks over 40 ETFs across 6 sectors: Broad Market, Tech & Innovation, Energy & Resources, Sectors & Real Assets, Fixed Income & Bonds, and Geopolitics & Defense. Each ETF gets its own curated news feed in the dashboard. Here is how the tracking pipeline works.

The ETF List

Each tracked ETF is identified by its ISIN (International Securities Identification Number) — a unique 12-character code. The system maintains a curated list of ETFs with their ISIN, ticker symbol, full name, short description, and sector category. When the crawler processes an article, it matches content against this list to determine which ETFs are affected.

Continuous Crawling

The crawlers are not batch jobs that run once a day. They operate continuously, checking RSS feeds for new articles every few minutes. This means breaking news about a company inside an ETF appears in the dashboard within minutes — not hours — of being published at the source.

Per-ETF Feeds

Once articles are processed, filtered, and assigned, they flow into per-ETF feeds. In the dashboard, clicking any ETF in the sidebar instantly loads its feed. The Global Feed shows all articles across all ETFs, sorted by time. You can also search for ETFs by ticker or name using the sidebar search bar.

Infinite Scroll

The dashboard uses infinite scroll — as you read through a feed, older articles load automatically. There is no pagination and no page reloads. This keeps the experience fast and uninterrupted, which matters when you are scanning through news quickly.

Favorites

Registered users can pin ETFs as favorites. Pinned ETFs appear at the top of the sidebar for quick access. Registration is free and only requires a username and password.
